Hailing from the area surrounding the birth place of heavy metal, and with a name inspired by Arthur Millers 'The Crucible' (a story of the Salem witch trials), ABIGAIL'S MERCY play 'Dark Melodic Metal' in the vein of the classic sounds of Sisters of Mercy but with a nod toward the current rash of Euro-metal like Nightwish and Lacuna Coil with overtones of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and other Great British rock acts.
The band formed to pursue a common love of alternative metal. They produced and recorded their first release "Salvation" in 2005 on a limited budget but managed to create an acclaimed album. The album was released through Casket records and quickly became a rated album with HMV.
The first album spawned an acclaimed video for "To hell with angels".
